Interface Lineage is a curated corpus that takes interfaces apart for designers: dissected interfaces, the design principles they embody, the people who made them, and typed lineage edges between them. Find a design with `search` or `list_catalog`, then `fetch` it to read the full dossier as Markdown. Two tools go beyond a normal doc connector: `get_lineage` returns the explicit, hand-authored influence edges (came_after, inspired_by, contrasts_with, …), and `find_related` surfaces designs that are similar in *feel* even when no edge connects them. `get_stills` returns the dossier's own screenshots as images — reach for it whenever the design is visual, since a gesture or a piece of chrome argues better shown than described. A productive move for design work: pick a pattern, pull BOTH its lineage and its related designs, then compare how each one resolves the same underlying tension — and turn the contrast into concrete questions for the design you're working on.
